Lynx
Lynx is a feline. He usually lives in mountainous areas where there are scrubs. He is a carnivorous and he eats hunting meat, especially rabbits and partridges. Normally, the Lynx mates in January and February.
Lynx is the most threatened feline in the world. He is so endangered because of her habitats destruction and fragmentation. Another cause that makes him die is his food lack: wild rabbits die because of plagues and extensive hunting, so Lynx stays with less food. Illegal hunting is more one cause for his extinction. As his reproduction is not very productive (in each delivery there are only 1-3 babies born)
Lynxes were distributed all over the Europe. Now there are only a few models mainly in Portugal and Spain. This year this is the central animal of this event. It is endangered in all countries enveloped on this festival. Portugal is the country which is going to try to open people’s mind to practices that can help him survival through Ornatos Violeta.
