Ornatos Violeta

Ornatos Violeta is an Alternative Rock band with other musical tendencies as well like jazz and funk. It was formed in 1991 and it finished in 2002. Its elements were Manuel Cruz (vocal), Peixe (guitar), Elísio Donas (keyboards), Nuno Prata (bass) and Kinörn (drums).

Their first album was edited in 1997 and it was a success because it shows irreverence and creativity of the group, and their irony and humor as well. They edited more two albums. The last one won the award to the Best Year Album, by Blitz. In 2002 this band decided to separate and their members came into other bands or tried to make a career alone.

After our invite, this band decided to join a last time to give voice to the Lynx. This year festival song is from their writing, adapted to the instrumental of the music “Ouvi Dizer”.
